MARÍA JULIA TAGLIERO

She is an Argentinian illustrator and designer (UNLP, Sótano Blanco). She has worked as an illustrator at Amblagar Studio since 2014 and is currently its Art Director, a role she combines with her freelance illustration work. Her visual language is based on saturated colors and free-flowing lines. She believes that a book is nourishing if it offers content and aesthetic quality; she hopes her work will invite the viewer to ask questions and develop their own awareness and judgment.

NADIA MAYOL

A native of the countryside who has been drawing since childhood, Nadia holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Arts at the National University of La Plata (UNLP). Her work focuses on the intersection of visual storytelling and emotional resilience, often exploring melancholic themes to uncover alternative paths and hopeful resolutions. She views the act of narrating (through drawing and design) as a powerful tool for world-building, transforming challenging realities into spaces of wonder by illustrating new possibilities.

Based in the heart of Argentine Patagonia, Leticia Saad is a professional illustrator dedicated to the international publishing industry. She excels in creating immersive atmospheres and emotive characters that serve as the backbone of the narrative. Her collaborative approach has led to successful projects in the picture book and educational sectors, as well as complex historical narratives. Combining regional inspiration with a global perspective, she delivers compelling visual content for publishers across the globe.

VIVI MAIDANIK

She is an illustrator, graphic designer, and author. Her work explores the intimate and complex connection between people and their environments, drawing inspiration from travel, nature, and everyday life. In recent years, her curiosity has led her to travel through mountain ranges, the sea, and the jungle, and to live in cities such as Barcelona, ​​Milan, Oslo, and Paris. These experiences have profoundly influenced her storytelling, leading her to investigate, through image and word, the unique relationship between people and the places they inhabit. As an illustrator, she collaborates on editorial projects, book covers, wine labels, advertising campaigns, textiles, and products.

BURBUJA ABIÁN

Illustrator, cartoonist, and animator.
A graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts with a degree in Visual Communication Design from UNLP (National University of La Plata), she also studied Comprehensive Animation Production. For years, she worked as an editorial designer. Since 2010, her work has merged with animation, and illustration has become a central part of her daily routine.
She has participated in illustration exhibitions in Argentina, Mexico, and Colombia. She is passionate about telling stories through drawing.

PAULA VENTIMIGLIA

Argentine/Spanish illustrator and graphic designer based in Buenos Aires. She has published in the Americas, Europe, and Japan, and has been selected for international exhibitions such as Imagen Palabra (Bogotá), Nami Island (Korea), Chen Bochui (Shanghai), and Sharjah. She is the author of Morriña, OTRO, and the silent book Get it back!. In 2024, she held her first solo exhibition, which was declared of Cultural Interest in Buenos Aires.

VALERIA GARCÍA DURÁN

Val G. Durán is a visual artist and illustrator with a degree in Visual Arts (Painting). Her work, rooted in traditional media such as egg tempera, oil, watercolor, and ink, is built upon narrative, atmosphere, and a quiet sense of mystery. Raised in Marbella and based in Buenos Aires, her style synthesizes European and Latin American sensibilities. Lorena Méndez holds a degree in Fine Arts from the National University of Rosario. Her professional journey spans visual arts and animation, leading to a specialized focus on illustration, where she currently develops her practice. Her portfolio includes a wide range of applications, designing illustrations for diverse sectors such as animation, stationery, textiles, and the children's and young adult (YA) publishing market. Her international presence is highlighted by her participation in prestigious collective exhibitions at the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB) and the Bologna Children's Book Fair. Lorena’s creative process blends mixed media—specializing in watercolor—with digital techniques. Her work is deeply inspired by nature and her passion for traveling, exploring the visual richness of diverse cultures.

ROCÍO MIKULIC

Illustrator, author, director, and visual artist, based in Puerto Iguazú, Misiones. She holds a degree in Visual Arts from the Faculty of Arts and Design (FAyD), National University of Misiones (UNaM). She works at the intersection of illustration and art. Currently, she is working on several of her own digital animation short film projects. Her visual universe is characterized by the exploration of the natural world and the creation of fantastical universes, where reality becomes magical.

MARÍA INÉS SOLARI

A native of Corrientes based in La Plata since 2004, she holds a comprehensive academic background from the National University of La Plata (UNLP), with degrees in Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, and Drawing. Her formal education is complemented by specialized illustration studies in both Buenos Aires and La Plata. She possesses a robust technical command of the editorial process, enabling her to manage the full lifecycle of a book—from initial concept and page layout to final binding and print production. Her visual language is a sophisticated synthesis of collage and traditional printmaking, deeply informed by her expertise in graphic disciplines.

MARÍA LAURA HIGA

She is an illustrator and graphic designer who graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). She began her professional career in editorial design, focusing on the development of infographics. She currently works as a freelance illustrator and art creator for various publishing houses.

ANA LUISA STOK

She trained at schools of Fine Arts, ceramics, and set design, and also explored music and dance. Her publishing career began with a contract with El Quirquincho publishing house, and his first book paved the way for numerous subsequent publications. Previously, she had already focused his interest on illustrating poetic and philosophical texts, which present a high degree of interpretive complexity due to their metaphors. For the author, texts always represent a challenge, and this is the main driving force behind his creative motivation. She has published his work in the United States, Korea, and Spain, and has actively participated in talks and exhibitions both in his country and abroad.

MARICEL RODRIGUEZ CLARK

Maricel Rodríguez Clark is a visual artist and illustrator based in Buenos Aires. She trained in Graphic Storytelling and Children's Illustration and studied painting in private workshops. She has worked as an illustrator for publishers in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, and Spain, and her work has been selected for various editions of the Iberoamérica Ilustra Catalog.

ROCÍO ALEJANDRO

Born in 1978, she is a graphic designer by trade who found her true calling in children’s illustration. Driven by a passion for lifelong learning, she has explored various disciplines (such as sumi-e, bookbinding, and color perception) all of which have profoundly influenced her work. She also holds a Diploma in Children’s and Youth Literature from UNSAM. She has illustrated titles for numerous Argentine and international publishing houses. Her work was selected for the Sharjah Exhibition for Children’s Book Illustration (UAE), the Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition (Shanghai), and the Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava (BIB). In 2017, she was awarded the 10th Compostela Prize for Picture Books for her work “Simón’s Vegetable Garden” (La huerta de Simón), which also won the Fundación Cuatrogatos Award in 2018.
